UNU Junior Fellows Internship 2026 for International Students:

The United Nations University (UNU) offers paid internships in Japan to both Japanese and international students through the UNU Junior Fellows Internship in Tokyo. Students, recent graduates, and professionals who want to learn more about the work of the United Nations and the United Nations University can apply for the program; there is no application fee. Additionally, candidates may apply from anywhere in the world. The guidance, direction, and practical experience that serve as the cornerstones of a fruitful and successful internship are highly valued in the program. Junior fellows are introduced to UNU, their coworkers, the facilities, and the procedures in the Office of the Rector during a one-week orientation that kicks off the program.

Financial Benefits:
The UNU Junior Fellows Internship Program 2026 in Japan (PAID) for International Students has the following benefits:

Eligibility Criteria:

- All nationals are eligible to apply for the paid internship in Japan.
- Applicants pursuing or finishing postgraduate coursework in a related discipline, such as a master’s or doctoral degree are eligible.
- Candidates must be younger than 32 at the time of application.
- Five years at most of relevant work experience.
- Fluent and native in both written and spoken English.
- Outstanding writing, research, and analytical abilities.
- The capacity to collaborate well with a variety of individuals.
- Innovative and resourceful problem-solver.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel is desired.
- Interest in the work of the UN and UNU.
